JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – Arts on the Creek was honored by Wells Fargo team members with a $1,000 donation from its Days of Giving program.
Wells Fargo also announced that its Atlanta-area employees gave or pledged $1.8 million this fall in the United Way and Community Support campaign – 24 percent more than last year.
In all, 240 groups received $1,000 checks at a series of community breakfasts across Atlanta. Arts on the Creek was honored at a breakfast at the Marriott Perimeter Center.
“To some, a $1,000 grant may seem small, but we know each of these great groups will be able to make a huge difference with this,” said Wells Fargo Area President Scott Asher. “And collectively, this will have a major impact in our community.”
With the program in its sixth year, giving across Georgia will exceed $1.5 million this fall.
All of the groups were selected by frontline team members in Atlanta – area bank offices for the work they are doing locally.
“We are doing our best to be a great local bank, and this is a cornerstone of our local giving and volunteerism,” said Robert Dobbs, business banking area manager.
