Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV), Georgia's first, largest and most experienced nonprofit working to end domestic violence, will host its annual Women in Action Forum on Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Sugarloaf Country Club in Duluth. The Forum will focus on dispelling many widely-held stereotypes about domestic violence victims, while helping to raise awareness and funds.
Attendees can enjoy a marketplace full of vendors, a breakfast buffet and a Q&A session with forum panelists, as well as an eye-opening testimony from Charmagne Helton, a former PADV client and current member of the PADV Board of Directors. All proceeds from the Forum will go directly towards the operating budget for PADV’s Gwinnett shelter, which is the largest domestic violence safe house in Georgia,
As PADV will be celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2017, the Women in Action Forum is the first of many events throughout the year that will commemorate PADV’s 40 years of service to the community.
Tickets for the Women in Action Forum as well as information on sponsorships are available on PADV’s website.
