CUMMING, Ga. — The popular Broadway musical “Fiddler on the Roof” will be taking the Cumming Playhouse stage this fall.

It will play on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sundays from Oct. 13 through Nov. 5.

Set in Imperial Russia in the early 1900s, “Fiddler on the Roof” centers on Tevye, a Jewish father of five daughters, as he attempts to maintain his religious and cultural traditions as outside influences encroach on the family’s lives. Tevye must cope with the strong-willed actions of his three eldest daughters, all of whom wish to marry for love, with each prospective marriage moving further away from Jewish traditions. Tevye must also face growing aggressions against people of the Jewish faith enacted by the Russian tsar and carried out by military forces and their non-Jewish neighbors.

Individual tickets to “Fiddler on the Roof” can be purchased at playhousecumming.com or by calling 770-781-9178.
