JOHNS CREEK, Ga. – The Johns Creek Veterans Association had a big Christmas blowout Dec. 17 at Park Place Adult Center in Newtown Park to have some fun and look back on the year’s accomplishments.
The big item on that list was the dedication of the Johns Creek Veterans Walk at Newtown Park. The members raised $500,000 to finish the final construction and present the memorial to the city.
The evening included a splashy dinner and the chance to introduce spouses to one another. The only rule was no one could show photos of their grandchildren.
