Atlanta-based The Rupert’s Orchestra will bring the club to Sandy Springs in August. This twelve-piece dance band was formed in 1987 to open Rupert’s Nightclub in Atlanta, and played to packed houses for over eight years. Rupert’s is comprised of some of the finest talent from around the nation. At the core of the group is a driving rhythm section, accented by fiery horns and an explosive Latin percussionist. The band is fronted by four unique vocalists. With a wide-ranging repertoire, the Rupert’s Orchestra performs everything from Top 40 hits to Motown and Classic Rock.
Held one Sunday evening each month, May through September, the outdoor concert series is free and open to the public and has become a celebrated community tradition each summer. Concerts are held from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. and are located at Heritage Green on The Sandy Springs Society Entertainment Lawn, 6110 Blue Stone Road, Sandy Springs, Georgia.
